Hello! My name is Jason Dorow, and I’m a sports broadcaster in the Twin Cities, currently serving as a play-by-play broadcaster for St. Catherine University, Augsburg University, Minnesota Prep Spotlight and occasionally for Minnesota Golden Gopher athletics. I’m also a communications consultant at the Bloomington-based agency Tunheim. You can view my latest reel below or by following this link and you can see my resume by clicking here.
In college, my passion for storytelling and broadcasting developed as the sports director at Northwestern’s student-run radio station (WNUR), where I managed all online and on-air content while broadcasting games for 11 different Wildcat athletic programs (including basketball, football, baseball, softball, volleyball and lacrosse). Additionally I managed the re-design of the station’s website, social media and logos, furthering my fascination with branding and digital media.
On top of earning a bachelor’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism and a certificate in integrated marketing communications, I was a member of the Northwestern club basketball team and a practice player for the Northwestern women’s varsity basketball team. If I’m not calling a game or hooping, I’m probably exploring the great outdoors through a scenic hike, grabbing Chipotle or hitting the links for 18 holes.
