Hello! My name is Jason Dorow, and I’m a play-by-play broadcaster, currently calling Big Ten Plus streams for University of Washington basketball, baseball, soccer, softball and volleyball. This season, I’m also broadcasting select DePaul University basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball matches; and D-III football games. Additionally, I have filled in as the radio play-by-play broadcaster for UW women’s basketball and as the radio studio host for UW men’s basketball.

Over the last seven years, I’ve provided play-by-play on the D-I, D-III and high school levels, spanning baseball, basketball, football, hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball and volleyball. You can view my latest reel below or by following this link, and you can see my resume by clicking here.

My passion for storytelling and broadcasting developed in college as the sports director at Northwestern University’s student-run radio station (WNUR), and I followed that passion into a career in play-by-play. After graduation, I moved to the Twin Cities and worked with the University of Minnesota for broadcasts on BTN Plus and KFAN Plus and called live streams for St. Catherine University, Augsburg University, MN Prep Spotlight and QCTV.

On top of earning a bachelor’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism and a certificate in integrated marketing communications, I was a member of the Northwestern club basketball team and a practice player for the Northwestern women’s varsity basketball team. If I’m not calling a game or hooping, I’d like to be exploring the great outdoors through a scenic hike.
